Beyond the Blue Mountains and just a little further past Lithgow is a picnic basket waiting to be opened and devoured. An enticing blend of fruits, vegetables, jams, honeys, cheeses, juices, nuts and wines are nestled in the picnic basket. All you have to do is listen to your taste buds and what ever they desire will be yours.
In case you haven’t heard about this picnic basket, it’s the Central Ranges. Made up of Bathurst, Cowra, Orange, Parkes, Forbes and Cabonne, the Central Ranges offers its visitors an abundance of choices.
From the farm gate to the sensational restaurants and cafes, you can experience the flavours of the Central Ranges at any time of the year. With each new season comes a new delicacy and with each delicacy comes an exciting destination.
The producers listed in this section of the Produce Shop are exemplary examples of what our region has to offer. We encourage you to peruse these pages and open your mind to a weekend of quiet country roads, lush green paddocks, welcoming smiles and delicious food and wine.
